Bridgett Brown
Missions Director
Missions Director

Bridgett Brown was introduced to missions as a child at St. Paul AME church in Cambridge, MA as she watched her mother and other ladies dressed in white preparing the communion table and visiting the sick in the hospitals. She grew up in a household that often hosted meals for family, friends, and strangers on the streets which always ended with guests leaving with a bag of goodies. She also was groomed in giving by her mother Joann, a native of Honduras, as clothes, toys and money was often sent to family and the church in Honduras.
Bridgett has been active in the church since the age of 5. This included church school, Angels Without Wings choir, Junior Usher Board, Girl Scouts, and the Food Pantry. She received Jesus as her Lord and Savior at the age of 10. She was baptized at Pond Street Baptist Church while a student at Johnson and Wales University where she earned her degrees in Culinary Arts AA (Dean’s List) and Foodservice Management BA (Cum Laude). She was able to share the love of Christ while serving as Senior Supervisor of Dining Services at Boston College in offering job opportunities to teens from Boston Public Schools (Many have completed college). Simultaneously taking classes at the Father Woods evening college at Boston College to complete the program in Advanced Studies to attain a Master’s degree in Administrative Studies (similar to an MBA). This continued when she moved to Maryland and managed TGIFridays, Prince George’s Public School dining, Director of Catering at the Federal Reserves, and Bloomberg newsroom DC Bureau ministering hope and seeing many renew their commitment to Christ and Baptisms.
She currently has been working in the Alexandria City Public School system as a guest teacher for over 15 years. She works with all age groups from Pre-k to High School including the Detention center. The Lord has allowed opportunities to encourage students, parents, teachers and staff and most importantly God moving on their hearts to receive Christ as their Savior. She also has been working with “Special Needs” adults to help them to have a quality of life to socialize and have meaningful relationships and interactions.
Bridgett was formerly introduced to International mission trips when she joined Fort Foote Baptist Church and participated in their first mission trip to Uganda in 2000. (Also known as the “Ugandan 10”) The call was extended to Go Ye Therefore…...Matthew 28:18-20. There was NO excuse that could justify disobeying His Command. She answered YES to the call, standing firmly on “Seek Ye First The Kingdom of Heaven…..Matthew 6:33. Since that time she has continued to participate Nationally and Internationally on mission outreach. Serving in many countries to include Uganda, Kenya, South Africa, Honduras, Guatemala, Haiti, Solomon’s Island (coast of Australia), Israel, Thailand, Jamaica,Trinidad, New Orleans, and Alabama.
She also served in the church in many ministries groups to include Missions, Youth Ministry Coordinator of Missions, Coordinator of Johenning Baptist center outreach, Single’s Ministry, Hospitality Ministry, Feeding at D Street shelter, Martha’s Table, SOME (So Other’s May Eat), GAIN’s Ministry (now called UNTO), Shepherds Cove to name a few areas. She also worked as the Catering Director and Office assistant at FFBC.
Bridgett began assisting Rev. Dr. Gerald Robinson, Founder of Know The Truth International Ministries, Inc., as a Mentee on an average of 6 to 10 trips a year as well as participating in training and mission conferences. Every trip she has assumed and received more responsibility and experience in team management/dynamiics, logistics, outreach, and Most Importantly sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Bridgett’s main mantle has been the gift of service, helps, and hospitality. She also is being developed in deliverance and healing. God has been using every experience to develop these skills and so much more. She was acknowledged by JADE ministries in 2019 as a “Woman of Purpose”
At the beginning of her mentorship the main focus in learning was to be in position to serve. In doing so the skills of observing what ministry actions took place and taking note of what was needed to fulfill the assignments at hand. The responsibility of keeping the day to day outreach and team activities moving forward was a process that produced great growth. Mission conferences participation, training, team dynamics, airport and ground movement, meals, accommodations, outreach activities, new contact information collection, relationship development for ministry partnership, capturing interactions on video and still shots, posting on social media, collecting supplies for distribution on mission trips (school supplies, toiletries, clothes, shoes, toys, gifts of gratitude, etc…), and most importantly evangelism. It has been said that Bridgett would ”witness to a rock if it moved”, or “if anything fogged a mirror she would witness to it”. She is committed to prayer walking and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ in every location and situation that the Lord allows. She continues to seek the Lord for direction to be effective and efficient in using everything she has been given to serve and please her Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ, with an expectancy that the best is yet to come.
